Cover: Original 1963 Ernest J Day 1st pressing "STEREO" cover with the flatter rear triple flip-backs. Large STEREO text in the top right corner and the Angus McBean credit to the far right at the bottom right of the cover beneath the 's' in songs rather than under the 'g. The condition is very good with no writings or doodles. There is some light brownish staining along some edges - see photos. These 1st stereo pressing covers are incredibly rare and it's amazing to find one in this condition i.e. without any writing or doodles on it. Indeed, the cover is probably worth the £99.50 starting price on its own.
Labels: Rare yellow & black stereo labels without "Recording First Published 1963" text. Some marks but no writing, stickers or doodles. VG condition - see scans.
Record: Play tested. Top quality heavy duty 1960s British vinyl. Looks VG(-) with some marks commensurate with a 55 year old record but plays VG+. Sits flat on the turntable. No skips or jumps on my system. Some crackle on the run-in, between tracks and occasionally in quieter moments. This record had not been played since around 1967 until I play tested it, so it might benefit from a light clean to bring up to its best.
