Please Please Me (MFSL A5 / B1)

This MFSL 'Original Master Recording' pressing has stunning Mint audio and the cover is also in great condition.  Pressed on Super High Definition Vinyl with Half-Speed Mastering MFSL recordings provide greater depth and clarity compared to standard vinyl and you can certainly tell the difference here.

  To say this MFSL vinyl is in pristine, immaculate condition is an understatement!  Only played a couple of times it has no hairlines or scratches and is visually stunning.  It has a mirror like glossy sheen and looks 'as new'.  The labels and run out grooves are also super clean.  The vinyl is contained within its original anti-static sleeve.

Play grading

This pristine and hardly played vinyl begins in supreme style with 'I Saw Her Standing There'  This opening track plays with what can only be described as Mint audio.  There is not one iota of interference and the clarity and depth is stunning.  'Misery' continues in the same way with superlative audio once again.  In fact there is no need to detail each track as they all play to the same breathtaking standard.  I have listened to every second of every track and I am pleased to say the audio quality does not diminish in any way.  Every intro and fade out plays with the same precision and there is almost complete silence between each track also.

The classic 'Love Me Do' on S2 plays to the same standard and again there is no 'background'.  Again the clarity and sonic quality is of the highest calibre across every track on this side.  The audio on offer here could not improved upon.  It plays with such beautiful precision and there are no clicks or pops to heard nor any static or crackle.  I cannot single out any specific track that stands out for any reason as they all play to the same Mint standard.

You can see why these MFSL recordings are so highly collectable.  Produced on super vinyl in Japan they provide maximum clarity and you can certainly hear the difference.  There is more 'sound' and the definition is stunning.  You can hear every nuance in the recording and when you find a pressing that is as clean and 'new' as this one the precision of the sound is astounding.  A final upgrade archive copy without doubt.

The Cover

The glossy cover is in lovely condition with only very minor wear.  The top edge has no marking/rubbing and the spine is near perfect apart from a crease on the bottom corner.  The bottom edge only has a couple of vert small rubs and tiny area of wear on the opening edge corner.  The opening edge itself has no handling wear at all.  The front and back cover are super clean with no marking.  Near perfect aside from the minor wear on the bottom edge.

Inner sleeve & Fold out MFSL card

The original black poly-lined sleeve is in perfect condition with no wear of any kind.  The LP sized MFSL info card folds out and is in pristine condition also 

The labels

The white 'Original Master Recording' labels are in immaculate condition and have only one tiny spindle trace on S1 and only two on the S2 label.  This vinyl has perhaps only been played two or three times at most.  The run out grooves could not be cleaner.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers
