Description

Available here is a four song 7" EP by The Beatles - Penny Lane. Rather rare and collectible in this form, it was it was issued in Singapore by Parlophone in 1968, with the catalogue number EPEA. 1002. Discogs states that it is mono, although this status is not printed anywhere on the record or sleeve and is questionable.

The track listing is …

A1 - Penny Lane
A2 - Eleanor Rigby
B1 - Strawberry Fields Forever
B2 - Yellow Submarine

Vinyl Condition - Very Good- - The record is clean but close examination will reveal a number of small light surface marks/scratches. I’ve listened to both sides and to my ears the first side has a bright stereo sound, whereas the second sounds slightly sluggish or dull. I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, with one or two light clicks or pops heard. Background crackle is present throughout, certainly noticeable but not too distracting. I’ve given the record a cursory clean but the sound may well improve with additional attention. A previous owner’s name is written on one side of the centre label but not overly visible.

Sleeve Condition - Very Good- - Original laminated picture sleeve with edge peeling and other small splits, nicks, rubbing, light creasing and marks present. Please see my images.

Packaging - It is not my intention to profit from postage. Where possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.

I will accept returns on any item which is not as described and refund all costs upon safe receipt. See “Me” for further general despatch information.
