This is a rare yellow and black large Stereo press of 'Please Please Me' by The Beatles. The labels have the Recording First Published, Parlophone Co Ltd and Made in Gt. Britain text on the label. The mothers and stampers are the early 1L/1M. The record is complete with the laminated flipback Ernest J. Day Stereo sleeve and the MKT tax code
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl still has a superb gloss with just a few very light marks. There are no significant signs of play at all and it lies completely flat on the turntable. There is the light noise at the intro and a little occasional noise but this heavy original vinyl still has the wonderful early vibrant, complete sound. The few moments of noise do little to spoil the enjoyment of this rare Stereo press.
The yellow and black Parlophone label is exceptionally clean. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. It clearly displays the rare MKT tax code on Side 2. There is just light spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex polylined inner sleeve.
The laminated flipback heavy car sleeve is in Very Good condition. The colours are bold, the laminate has a stunning bright mirrored shine and the picture is extremely clear. There is a little corner and edge wear. The flipbacks are sealed, although there is a little wear and the unlaminated back is extremely bright. There is slight discolouration but it is still very clean. The text is sharp and the black is bold. The spine is firm with clear black text on a clean white background.
