Description
You are bidding on an incredibly rare piece of pop history: the first pressing of The Beatles' debut album Please Please Me.
This is the "gold label" version: the text on the vinyl label is gold and black (it changed to yellow and black on later pressings). It states "Dick James Mus. Co" for tracks 1,2, 6 and 7 on side one; and tracks 4 and 6 on side two. A few weeks after the album was released the credits on these tracks changed to "Northern Songs".

"MT" tax stamp on the label of side one
Original Emitex inner sleeve
"Photo: Angus McBean" credit in bottom-right corner
"Printed and Made by Ernest J. Day & Co Ltd" on back cover
"Wraparound" laminated front cover.
This is a genuine once-in-a-lifetime rarity and a must for Beatles collectors and enthusiasts.
CONDITION:
I have tried to capture the condition as accurately as possible with the attached photos.
Front cover has degraded over time and the laminate has started to bubble in places but there are no tears or rips.
Back cover in similarly good shape with expected discolouration for its age. Tape has been put on to the wraparound part of the card; this has come loose on the top-right corner for about two inches. The bottom-left corner of the wraparound has a three-inch-long split (see photo).
The vinyl has quite a few visible scratches and blemishes but no chips or cracks - there are the expected crackles and pops when played but the record doesn't jump. Again, please check the photos for more detail.
The label is in good condition; the inner sleeve has no rips but is discoloured.
