The BeatlesRevolver ORIGINAL AUGUST, 1966 UK 1st PRESSING WITH "DR. ROBERT" MISSPELLING TO SIDE.2 LABEL & THE SLEEVE STAMPED SIDE 2 MATRIX XEX 606-1 "REMIX 11" OF "TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS" MISPRESSING Parlophone Records PMC 7009 - Mono - 12-inch 33rpm, 14-track vinyl album - side 1 matrix XEX 605-2 / side 2. matrix XEX 606-1 with "Remix 11" of "Tomorrow Never Knows" - when initially mixed a different master for "Tomorrow Never Knows" was sent to be pressed. This mix is known as "Remix 11"; although subtle, it differs to the standard "Remix 8" which ultimately replaced it. Legend goes that each group member was given the first copies from the production line. John listened to it &was supposedly unhappy with the mix or that the wrong one had been used, so he informed George Martin. Production then ceased so the new masters could be cut & the pressing plates replaced. 1st presses have a side 2 matrix number of XEX 606-1 whereas the standard presses have XEX 606-2 & beyond - black label with yellow logo & silver print with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd." printed on the left-hand perimeter together with "Sold in U.K..." text below the logo. Has "K T" tax-code embossed to the side.1 label - 1st pressing labels misprint the side 2 track "Doctor Robert" as "Dr. Robert". Also note these early labels each have the song title on it's own line, followed by song credits and then lead vocalist - laminated front to the flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve - plain die-cut poly-lined inner sleeve
VINYL: VERY GOOD - labels: clean, light spindle marks can be seen under strong light - vinyl: vinyl has been professionally machine cleaned, it is flat, it has noticeable light scuffs & marks, listened all the way through, plays extremely well, despite being played a number of times, the occasional 'pop' or 'click', but it does not jump, skip or repeat
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD
- no splits or writing, mild edge & spine creases, corner scuffs, mild storage rub, slightly aged, surface tear to base flipback - inner: GOOD, has one edge split, minor fraying :
