Description
PLEASE READ PAYMENT AND DELIVERY DETAILS CAREFULLY. IMPORTANT.
PLEASE NOTE, AS REGULAR BUYERS ARE AWARE, I PLAY TEST ALMOST ALL MY RECORDS. MY 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK IS TESTAMENT TO MY GRADINGS. HOWEVER, THIS WAS ONE OF A BUNDLE OF RECORDS RECENTLY OBTAINED, WHICH IVE NOT HAD TIME TO PLAY, AND DOES NOT LOOK IN THE BEST CONDITION. IT HAS SOME MARKS/SCRATCHES, THOUGH NOTHING DEEP/FEELABLE (see photos). THUS, IT IS BOUGHT AS SEEN. NO RETURNS.
THE BEATLES: Revolver Vinyl LP 1966 1st Mono PMC 7009. XEX605-2 & 606-1. 1 Mother to side 1. G&L flip-back sleeve is VG.
First mono (withdrawn mix) press, of what many critics consider to be The Beatles finest album, with small ‘mono’ top right front. The vinyl has a black label with yellow Parlophone logo and silver print. ‘Gramo Co Ltd’ perimeter print, and ‘Sold In U.K.’ text. KT tax code embossed to side 1, with XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-1 matrix numbers, indicative of the first press. It has the mis-print Dr. Robert’ text to side 2, and ‘Dr Robert’ to the sleeve, with sans serif Arial typeset, with each song title starting on a new line, with each song title followed by song credits, then lead vocalist.
VINYL APPEARANCE. VG
Both sides have marks/scratches/hairlines. Nothing deep or feelable. Slightly more noticeable marks across ‘Taxman’ and ‘Eleanor Rigby’, (see photos), and track 4, side 2 (again, see photos). They may or may not affect the audio.
LABELS. VG++
Side 1.
Sans-Serif Arial font (see above).
Generally clean, bright and graffiti free, with relatively minor spindle ware; really only seen under angled light. KT embossed tax code.
Side 2.
As side 1, perhaps a little cleaner.
SLEEVE. VG (Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending.)
The front side has some creasing, most noticeable near the spine, and to bottom right corner, along with some yellowing/scuffing to the edges.
The spine is strong and easily legible.
The rear panel is no better than VG, due to the tape repair to the bottom edge flip-back. There’s also very faint ringing. There’s also pen mark to top (left side) flip-back.
INNER. VG+
There are no rips/tares, to the EMI ‘Important Notice’ black & white inner, just a small seam split to one side. VG+

So in conclusion, this is an original Mono 1st press of ‘Revolver’. It hasn’t been play tested, and I’ve pointed out any flaws, and shown the most prominent marks on the photos. Thus, it’s bought as seen, with no returns.
It has the Incorrect ‘Dr. Robert’ to both label and sleeve, and 1 Mother pressing to side 1, and is the rare ‘withdrawn’ mix, as signified by the matrix numbers. An essential edition to any serious Beatle collection.
