Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Revolver' 1966 press MONO vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is an early standard UK pressing of Revolver in mono format. It features a rare EJ Day printed flipback sleeve and the label misprint of Dr.Robert.
DO NOT MISS OUT!!!
Artist: The Beatles
Title: Revolver
Catalogue Number: PMC 7009
Year: 1966
Number of Tracks: 14
Matrix Numbers: -2 -2
Mother Stampers: 5OL 5MD
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a decent amount of light scratches and hairline marks on the record...none that seem deep however! Still retains a nice gloss and shine but it's definitely been played. rated as GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD. Side 2 - same as Side 1 with a few more marks. Looks like it needs a clean.
Audio: I have listened to the entirety of the record and rate it as GOOD+.
There is some crackle on the run-in grooves that is noticeable. It still retains a great punchy bass and volume but doesn't have a huge amount of clarity due to the background crackle. A deep clean may solve this. All instruments and vocals can still be heard. No skips, sticks or jumps on my system!
Sleeve: The original 1966 MONO flipback EJ Day sleeve is currently rated as GOOD-! The front of the sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine but a lot of creasing and ringwear and marks to the edges. No writing or anything sinister but there is a lot of creasing and ringwear. The rear of the sleeve has creasing to the flipbacks and corners with heavy ringwear. The spine is readable but curved.
I would class this as a playable collection filler for an original 1966 mono pressing of Revolver with the Dr.Robert misprint and the EJ Day flipback sleeve.
PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!
As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record.
