Description
A great opportunity to buy a copy of a RARE 1ST PRESSING VINYL LP from the 60's by The Beatles called Revolver.
Released in 1966 on the Parlophone (yellow & black) label ( PMC 7009 )(mono), it has a total of 14 tracks.
This is the first pressing issue, with The Gramophone Co. Ltd label rim, with Sold In The U.K..... label text and Made In Gt. Britain printed on both labels.
The all important matrix numbers are:- XEX 605-2 (side 1) and XEX 606-1 (side 2).This rare pressing contains the slightly different ending to the track "Tomorrow Never Knows" and is unique to the first pressing copy.
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny VERY GOOD condition. I always grade and examine records under a bright table lamp and there are many minor surface marks, but nothing serious. It plays and sounds fine, though there are a few clicks audible at the beginning and between some of the tracks, but these do not detract from the overall quality of the playback. The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects, though when tilted towards the light there are spindle marks noticeable and what appears to be a small light pencil tick on each side.
The vinyl comes housed in a plain white inner sleeve in VERY GOOD condition.
The laminated Ernest J. Day flipback picture cover is in an EXCELLENT condition. The edges and spine are very strong and the title on the spine is clearly visible (see photo). There are small areas of minor creasing near the opening edge, but this can be expected from a 45 year old cover.
The pictures shown are of the actual item.
