Matrix Numbers are XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1.

This is a rare 1st Pressing released December 1965 and is what is known as the 'Loud Cut'. Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd., front laminated cover with small mono on the rear. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. 'The Gramophone Co.Ltd.' perimeter text and 'Sold In The UK Subject To Resale Price Conditions' across centre of the label. Track listing on the labels in a sans-serif typeface. K T Tax code on side 2 label.

This is a lovely example. It's got a few light surface marks especially when you hold the record underneath a bright light, but there's nothing that spoils the quality of play or that fabulous mono sound of early Beatles albums. A rare copy in very good condition.  

The front laminated flip-back sleeve printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd., is in lovely condition as well. Few tiny ripples under the laminate towards the spine edge and a little bit of feathering at the opening edge is all I can really fault it with. The spine is lovely and straight and all the printing shows clearly.

Comes with a tissue lined die-cut 'use Emitex' white paper inner sleeve.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extras such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
