THIS IS ONE OF 3 VERY RARE VERSIONS OF SGT PEPPER THAT I AM LISTING THIS WEEK
The others are the ULTRA RARE Mono 1 box EMI, and another with the VERY RARE WIDE SPINE COVER
This is an auction for the very rare complete MONO version with the MEGA RARE FOURTH PROOF COVER which were supposedly made in very small numbers as a test for the cover as it was eventually produced.
These are recognised by the words Fourth Proof stamped upside down on the top right corner of the open gatefold,and,again upside down,
AR D 1321 on the end of the flipover near the spine.
Cover states Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.Patents pending.
The cover shows only a few minor signs of wear and is clean with no writing.

The record has the original 1st pressing matrix numbers and is in the format without any banding gaps between the tracks.I have played both sides on my old Samsung Midi.
Side 1 has many light hairlines and paper scuffs.There is one slightly feelable line which causes intermittent light clicks at the end of Little Help and during Lucy.There is occasional faint crackle,otherwise plays fine .VG
Side 2 again has many light hairlines and non feelable scuffs.On playing there was some light crackle at the beginning and then it played fine.VG
Original red and white 'fools' inner which is clean,totally intack with minor creasing.

A superb example copy of the very rare and much sought after Sgt Pepper FOURTH PROOF COVER,as well as the original fools inner and cut out sheet.
