THE BEATLES - SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND (U.K. MONO 1st PRESSING )
GREAT COPY OF THIS RARE LP. THIS FIRST PRESSING HAS THE "SOLD IN THE U.K." AND "THE GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD" LABEL TEXT.
THE VINYL IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION. SHINY VINYL WITH ONE TINY SURFACE MARK ON SIDE 1 BUT THIS HAS NO EFFECT ON THE SUPERB AUDIO.
THE LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE HAS THE VISIBLE FLAPS INSIDE THE GATEFOLD AND IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.CLEAN, UNMARKED SPINE AND EDGES AND SUPERB, GLOSSY LAMINATE. THERE IS A TINY CREASE ON THE TIP OF THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER OF THE FRONT COVER AND A VERY FAINT BIT OF SURFACE RINGWEAR ON THE TOP OF THE BACK COVER.
THE CARD CUT-OUT INSERT HAS BEEN STORED IN THE SLEEVE FROM NEW AND IS IN MINT CONDITION.
THE LABELS ARE IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.
THE RED & WHITE PAPER INNER SLEEVE IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.
RELEASED IN 1967 ON PARLOPHONE RECORDS CAT.NO. PMC 7027.
THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE XEX 637-1 / 638-1.

Grading
I grade all my records using the Record Collector's Grading System which is as follows:
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion ans mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits discoloration etc.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/ or defaced.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
