Description
Beatles Sgt. Pepper UK first press 1967 mono lp PMC 7027.
Matrices YEX 637-1 YEX 638-1.
Flip back cover to inside, G & L sleeve etc.
No original dust cover...plain white.
Vinyl looks nice and glossy with just a couple of hairlines which do not effect play.
Minor crackling on run in grooves but overall sound is clear and loud Ex-
Sleeve is overall VG++ condition with light ringwear, corner scuffs and some scuffing to top of inner gatefold (common problem with this cover when it starts to stick together slightly).

The proof is in the pudding and, in my opinion, nothing sounds better than this original mono press.
None of the reissues have come close to this sound...an amazing cut...listen to a soundclip below recorded direct from my modest hi fi (technics deck, kenwood amp) to computer.
This is not a mint copy but if you want to listen to it as intended and not just store it away in a vault somewhere this is a lovely copy.
Someone has pointed out a typo in listing...Matrices are, in fact, XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1 as per label...sorry for any confusion.
