The original flame inner sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition and has the PATENTS PENDING stamp in the lower right corner

All of my records are carefully visually graded under bright light and fully play graded before auction.

Record

Both sides of the record have a beautiful appearance with 100% original gloss and shine . There are NO scuffs and NO scratches. Under bright light there are just some very light hairlines visible when the record is tilted at an angle. The record is graded a strong Excellent Plus.

Labels

Both labels have NO spindle lines and NO spindle hole wear at all and is in MINT condition. The side side two label has the KT stamp either side of the spindle hole.

The Cover

The cover has a beautiful appearance. There is no fading or colour loss anywhere and has the absolute minimum of age related defects to mention.

On close examination the front cover has one light half moon laminate wrinkle and another very small straight laminate wrinkle at the top edge. There are NO other defects to the front whatsoever.

The back cover has “Printed and Made by Garrod and Lofthouse” at the bottom right corner. The appearance is lovely with NO creases or laminate wrinkles and NO ringwear.There are some small age spots which can be seen when the cover is angled under bright light.

The gatefold interior has a 100% mint appearance and still creaks loudly on opening so cannot have been opened more than a few times, incredible!

Edges

The spine is nice and straight with all of the album title legible and has no rubbing or splits.

Both of the bottom gatefold cover edges are mint perfect with no defects. The back gatefold top edge does have a 3.5 cms thin rub mark along its midpoint. The front gatefold top edge is perfect.

The two gatefold entry edges for the record and the cut out insert are 100% perfect with NO wear or feathering.

Corners

All of the corners are razor sharp and square with NO wear or rounding. There is just a small laminate wrinkle directly next to the top spine corner to mention.

This cover is very nice indeed, with full gloss and rich bright unfaded colours. The cover is graded a strong Excellent Plus.

Inner Sleeve

The original flame design inner sleeve is graded Excellent Plus. There is no writing, rips, tears or seam splits. The sleeve has MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN, PATENTS APPLIED FOR in the bottom right corner.

Cut-Out Insert

The cut outs are untouched and are in MINT condition.

Sound Quality

The audio quality of the entire album is excellent with wonderful stereo sound separation

Carefully listening to the album in its entirety there are of course no jumps or skips, and no sound break up or distortion. On careful listening there is some occasional extremely light crackle to be heard on the intro run in grooves and during the quiet fades between tracks, but this is at an absolute minimum which most wouldn`t mention.

Overall

A really nice high grade stereo Sgt Pepper. Not tremendously rare but certainly less common than the mono issues and nice to see in this condition.

The grading system I use is from Record Collector:- Mint, Excellent, Very Good with +/- to distinguish borderline grades.

All records are carefully visually inspected under bright light and play graded before auction to avoid any disappointment to buyers, so bid with confidence.

A full no quibble refund for the cost of the record will be offered if you are not satisfied for ANY reason.

I treat all vinyl with the greatest respect whether  £5 or £50, so all records are sent out with plastic covers in professional mailers and two protective stiffeners. I always separate records from their covers and original inner sleeves for posting to prevent seam splits occurring during shipping.

It is the buyer`s responsibility to take out any insurance cover required. I would advise insurance to be taken out on any item sale greater than £30.00 as protection against loss or damage during shipping. Without this additional insurance the full value of items above £30.00 that are lost or damaged will NOT be able to be recovered.

Following the close of the auction I will send an invoice within twenty four hours. All winning bidders must make contact within three days of the end of the auction or I reserve the right to withdraw the item or select the second chance option and offer the item to another bidder.
