Hello and welcome to this auction for 'The Beatles - White Album' 1968 first press MONO vinyl double LP!
This particular pressing is perhaps a transitional first pressing as Sides 3 and 4 do not have the "An E.M.I Recording" on them, whereas Sides 1 and 2 do. Also features a relatively low number of 0112663 and the original poster. Unfortunately, the 4 portraits are missing.

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there quite a few light scratches, hairlines and sleeve removal trails. A couple of these scratches are feelable but don't feel deep. FULL PLAY-TEST BELOW! Still retains a nice gloss and shine but looks like it's been thoroughly enjoyed. Rated as GOOD+/VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD. Side 2 - same story, GOOD+/VERY GOOD-. Side 3 - A few more small but lightly feelable scratches, GOOD+/VERY GOOD- at best. Side 4 - GOOD+/VERY GOOD-.
Audio: I have play-tested all 4 sides in their entirety and I can overall grade the audio as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+! **THERE ARE NO SKIPS, NO STICKS AND NO JUMPS on my system!!** There is obvious crackle present, particularly in the quieter parts of the album but it's never too intrusive. There are also some repetitive pops here and there but I think it just needs a deep clean. The mono audio has that classic vintage warmth and PUNCH! Not a bad player all things considered but obviously not a mint copy.
Plays much better than it looks!
Inner Sleeve: The original black inner sleeves are currently in GOOD condition! They show creasing here and there and some worn edges. One of the sleeves is fully intact with no rips or tears but the other isn't so lucky and has a 2" split along the bottom edge and a much larger 5" split along the left edge.
**I will provide fully intact white inner sleeves to help preserve the originals**
Poster: The original 1968 fold out poster has a large tear along one of it's seams but still attached by 40% and has the obvious staining and wear. Probably best left folded to preserve it.
Sleeve: The original 1968 MONO gatefold sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD! The sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine but it does have some light ringwear and light laminate creasing with some edgewear. It also has some obvious discolouration with light staining in places. The number 0112663 is clearly visible - as is 'The Beatles' logo. I must point out that is seems that the middle seam has become unstuck about 1 third of the way down - NOT SPLIT! Could be easily glued but I'll let the buyer do this. The flipbacks are held down tightly with some wear but nothing serious. The spine is 100% readable but it does have some marks on it.
