still selling my mother's records for her - most are original issues that were bought in the sixties and seventies.

THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM

on APPLE RECORDS -PCS7068 - STEREO (1968) - UK 1st Pressing bought very soon after release, numbered 0001232 - Dark Green Apple label with ®, and "Sold in UK.." label text. with black inner sleeves, four photos and poster, All original and complete. numbered 0001232

Vinyl is in fairly good condition, Unfortunately my Mother's favourite Beatles record and it has been played a lot, visually it looks very good, with a few light marks, but there is a slight jump on "back in the ussr" just after the intro, (there is no mark here so i can only assume it is groovewear) other than that it plays very good to excellent on all sides, with some light noise and distortion in places, but nothing terrible, it still sounds superb overall. Labels are in excellent condition, with some light spindle wear and marks. The original gatefold laminated flipover top-opening sleeve printed by Garrod and Lofthouse is in good condition, unfortunately the spine is very worn but the edges are all good, creasing is fairly minimal and only at the edges, the laminate has still got it's glossy sheen, it is slightly yellowed at the edges from age, and there is a slight trace of indentation where my mum wrote her name "Judy" on the top right in pencil, this is very difficult to see, and only under bright light. The inside of the sleeve is excellent, very shiny, but again slight age yellowing on the inside spine which is undamaged. Overall the sleeve retains it's original charm and has aged with dignity despite the worn spine. One of the black inner sleeves is in excellent condition, while the other is slightly torn and worn, the four photographs of the Beatles are in excellent to near mint condition, however the poster / lyric sheet has been up on several walls and the seams repaired with sellotape which has gone brown, It is coming apart in 12" squares but there are no tears in the sections, the tape will probably come off easily and it will clean up, the edges are pretty good, just a few small holes from drawing pins.(see photo). A protective plastic sleeve is supplied for the lp.

matrix / pressing no's are : YEX 709-1 (3(or0?)-PR) / YEX 710-2 (1-GAH) and YEX7 711-1 (4-GMG) / YEX 712-1 (2-A) .
