Description
THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM TOP LOADER MONO 0150297 PMC 709-712 1/1/1/2 MATRIX Good early example of this classic and sought after album. Record has recently been cleaned using a DISCO-ANTSTAT cleaner.
CONDITION Cover Good full lamination , no damage to spine, the two corners at the spine have the very slightest depression, good clean edges including the top opening edges which have a couple of very minor marks.Front and back have a few discolouration marks which may well clean off. Inside gatefold flaps visible. Again lamination complete. Slight marking under four pictures on Right hand side which may be erasable.
Inners Original black with single die cut hole. One has very slight creasing. the second one has a couple of slight rips to the open surface and a concertina like split from the die cut hole to the bottom which you can see in one of the pictures.
Inserts the poster is fully intact with no splits to the seams, a couple of age related browning marks, the reverse has the lyric sheet, there are a couple of minor creases. this does not appear to have ever been mounted. The only picture present is Paul McCartney
Records.
I have recently played both records entirely. there are no jumps whatsoever and the background noise is minimal but during the quieter periods there are slight pops. I would definitely say that it does not affect the listening experience in any significant way. The album has obviously been played quite significantly but has, I believe been looked after. The matrices are as follows 709-1 / 710-1 / 711-1 / 712-2 Visually the side one does look marked but in reality all of the marks are superficial, I am re-listening this as I type this and there is no noticeable points at which these marks are creating any noticeable extra noise. It is still a very good experience. Side two, has surface marks but again plays with only slight background noise. Side three, superficial surface marks but again not affecting the sound, Side four has surface marks as with the other sides but again plays well.
This is a used example but the condition is such that it is still much better than very many other examples around. the low serial number and matrices indicate a first pressing
