I am no record grading expert but I will describe this album the best I can...

THE INCREDIBLE STEREO EDITION OF THIS ICONIC 1ST PRESS CLASSIC! BY FAR THE BEST OF THE TWO MIXES. THE ONLY WAY TO HEAR THIS CLASSIC LP IS FROM A TRUE 1968 ORIGINAL!!!

About : 

Rare 100% Complete Original 1968 UK 1st Press!!! This LP initially sold barely any copies and therefore had a very small run but it is an absolute classic LP from this hugely popular band.

Labels :

Classic UK 1st Pressing with Apple labels. All sides are very goog with no real signs of age, no writing, no stickers or tears. There's a small amount of light spindle marks. All of the labels are in very good condition overall.

Record : (Visual)

Original 1968 UK 1st Pressing. Nice bright, clean and shiny. All of the record surfaces look good with only a few light scratches and scuffs. A few hairlines, slight scuffs/age marks is not bad for a record that is 49 years old.

Record : (Audio)

Thankfully, after 49 years it still plays ok. Both sides of both records play with no sticks, just a couple of small skips. Like pretty much most records there's light crackles/ticks here and there. There's light "bluesman's fag" atmospheric static in places such as on some of the quieter sections, as well as the run in grooves and in-between tracks. The majority of the tracks are quite clear with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity that you can only get from a first pressing.

***Checked using a Garrard 401 turntable with Decca FFS Professional tone arm and Decca FFS Mk.III Elliptical cartridge wired to Yamaha DSP-AX863SE amplifier***

Sleeve :

Original 1st press top-loading stereo stamped/numbered (0598689) laminated top loading gatefold G&L sleeve with signs of lots of handling and looks to have been attacked by a rodent at some point, the spine is unreadable and holed at bottom. The original black inners are present and they have suffered numerous tears and creases, one has suffered quite badly. All 4 photos have creases on the corners and there are slight marks from previous handling. The original poster is showing general signs of being handled a lot, there's creases, tears and subsequently some small holes. Last but not least, the very rare blank white photo spacer shows signs of age/damp and has a big crease mark.

Summary : A truly 100% complete rare classic Stereo 1st Press LP!!! Hard to find in any condition nevermind COMPLETE...
