Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Very Good + (A very sharp and clear sound, very minimal crackle throughout the tracks, very minimal background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, there are 4 or 5 slightly noticeable pops at the start of Back In The U.S.S.R. on side 1, there is also 2 or 3 pops on the start of Birthday on side 2. there may be one of two further light pops/clicks throughout the remainder of the record but these will be barely audible and very very scarce. (Very Good + sound quality) (Playtested 11th April 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good (there are quite a number of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record but they are definitely not overpowering and are reasonably scarce, these do not affect playback in any way, there are also 3 or 4 small more feelable light scratches on the record and these very slightly affect playback by causing some of the barely audible pops as mentioned above, there may be some additional very light paper traces from the record being taken in and out of the inner sleeve under bright light, looks to have been played on quite a number of occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for reasonably well, labels are clean with no rips/tears or pen marks to the label, there is some slight wear around the spindle holes, overall a decent copy visually)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good (no major front corner creases apart from a slight top left corner crease, no major rear corner creases on the G/F sleeve apart from a slight bottom left corner crease, no spine splits or edge splits, the spine just suffers from some slight laminate lifting and peeling here and ther, there is hardly any rubbing/wear to the edges, there are no major rips or tears in the sleeve, there is slight corner rubbing, there is some slight ringwear on the front and back which is noticeable, no serious laminate lifting or laminate peeling apart from the slight bit on the spine, a reasonably white sleeve with moderate discolouration and staining, no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, overall a decent sleeve)

Inner Sleeves Grade: Very Good + (no major seam splits on either inner sleeves and the sleeves have no rips/tears to them, they just suffer from some creasing here and there)

Poster Grade: Excellent (The poster has no rip or tears and no unwanted folds/creases or pieces missing from the poster, there are no pen marks/writing on the poster and there are no pin holes in the corners, the poster is very white and clean and hardly suffers from any discolouration or staining)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
