Issue : UK Complete Original *Mono*
This is the rare *Mono* UK Original of The White Album by The Beatles. It has the incredibly low number 0052698. This album is complete with top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels, black inner sleeves, all four photographs and lyric poster. It is also complete with the very rare paper spacer. This is a very nice example of this classic album with the very earliest matrix numbers. It looks good, plays extremely well and the inserts are in superb condition.
Record 1 is in Very Good condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational deep gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all, each side just has a couple of light marks - none are significant and none have any affect on play. The dark green Apple labels are in superb condition. The green is bold, the white is bright and completely clean. The black text is sharp and there is only the very slightest spindle wear. On playing the the vocals are sharp and the backing is very bold and clear.
Record 2 is in Very Good condition. The vinyl on each side has a stunning bright shine with no scratches There are very sharp vocals with clear warm backing and just a little occasional background noise. The brief moments of noise do not spoil the enjoyment of this record at all, it sounds great. The labels are sharp and completely clean with just very light spindle wear.
INSERTS
The four photographs are in Excellent condition. The colours are vivid and they all have their original just pressed sheen. There are a couple of age spots otherwise the white is superb. They are very solid and the edges are firm.
The double sided poster is in Near Mint condition. The colours are bold, the whites and highlights are still exceptionally bright. The folds are firm. The lyrics are sharp and the corners have only the slightest wear. There is no discolouration.
The black inner sleeves are in Very Good condition. As any collector knows these inner sleeves are almost impossible to find in anything but torn, ragged condition. These inners are very solid, there is one small edge split otherwise the edges are very firm. They have a little wear to the opening edge but still look and feel great.
SLEEVE
The Garrod & Lofthouse top opening laminated sleeve is in Very Good condition. The laminate has a bright gloss and it is completely clean. The white is bright and the number and Beatles embossed text are sharp and unworn. There is some wear to the opening edge and a light mark on the back. There is a little edge wear but they are still firm. On opening the inside images and text are exceptionally bright and clean. The flipbacks are sealed and complete. The whole cover remains very solid and shine over the sleeve is sensational.
