Description
Many apologies to those who bid on this item in the last few days as I had to cancel the auction. I became aware that I had erroneously put "First Pressing" in the title. This was a genuine mistake. However, I have been researching this as I do not want any buyer to be disappointed. I found that the details on the labels probably mean that it is a second pressing, but I am not certain of that either. I am not an expert in these details. Please ask me for further information and photographs if this detail is important.
The Beatles White Album was bought by me in 1968/69 from "Rare Records" in Manchester (see ticket). I am not expert in assessing the quality of the discs but I think "good" is right. They probably have average wear and tear. I don't have the means to play them now, so that is all I can say. They were last played in the early 1970s. The cover is aged from storage, the photos show them as they are, no enhanced images, just daylight. There is one photo of an original sleeve, the other is the same, no splits. I never used the photos or the lyrics sheet, they stayed in the record covers. They are all as they were, undamaged and original. I think all the details are in the photos for those who know what they want. I can post other photos if necessary. I shall let the album go to the final date of the auction.
The printed number on the album front cover is 0560153. "The BEATLES" is embossed on the front cover The discs are top loaded "Stereo" is faintly printed on the back cover at the top right
