Description
THE BEATLES
YELLOW SUBMARINE
Original, 1st press vinyl LP, with original die-cut black inner sleeve
Stereo First Pressing:
The matrix numbers on this copy are YEX 715-1 and YEX 716-1. You’ll see on the label above the title that it states “Sold In U.K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists” – this disappears from second presses from Spring 1969 onwards. Also take a look at the rear of the album cover – early presses have the red lines above and below the sleeve-notes (this stopped from third presses in 1971). Also, there was no sleeve manufacturer printed on the lower flap on very first copies, something that was corrected on second presses when “Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patent No. 943,895? appeared.
Year of release - 1969
Made in UK
Apple Records - PCS 7070 Stereo
Matrix codes:
Side 1: YEX 715-1, with GL at 2 o'clock, and at 8 o'clock the numbers 2 4
Side 2: YEX 716-1, with GP at 2 o'clock
Condition:
Vinyl/Labels : V. Good+
Some very faint, non-feelable hairlines, visible under harsh light. Plays well and sounds great, the music powerful and clear.
Laminated Flipback Sleeve/Original plain black inner : VG+ ( there are 2 x parallel red lines on rear sleeve, above and below the main text, indicating it is a 1st pressing)
Some light ring wear, and edge wear at opening edge. There are a few very small, light creases at the spine edge. All text, graphics and colours sharp and strong. The black inner has creasing, and a very small seam split at one side.
Important Information:
Postage & Packaging
Records are packaged safely using strong stiff cardboard and extra bubble wrap to ensure they arrive in the same condition as in my description. I also remove record from outer sleeve and original inner sleeves, to prevent seam splits. I am a record collector myself and understand the importance of safe packaging to ensure safe delivery.
:Please note:
Postage prices will be greatly reduced if buying more than one record. In fact, if UK buyers buy three LPs, the postage is the same price as for posting one LP.
Overseas buyers can also expect a much reduced rate when combining postage.
Good luck and happy bidding!
Prompt payment is much appreciated. Please pay within 3 days of auction ending.
Postage prices are for Royal Mail 1st Class/International Standard.
Buyers are advised to pay for items to be tracked if the value is over £20.00, and will be given this option when invoiced.
