CLEAN CONDITION, ALL COMPONENTS IN THIS COMPLETE SET ARE 100% ORIGINAL
Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles WHITE Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.
This HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle, an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, NUMBERED GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.
LP Description/Condition:
The two First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, One of the discs is**Without** An E.M.I. Recording Reference, and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to ALL four sides of the Two record labels. All four labels are printed ‘Stereo’.
All four record labels in VERY NICE Excellent Plus condition, CLEAN, UNDAMAGED record labels, vivid Black Print, showing only a few light centre spider trails to each label.
The yellow outline on record label side four below, is a printers manufacturing flaw.
All 4 sides of the vinyl discs are in very nice Excellent Plus condition, the vinyl discs still retain their glossy shine, with nothing more than a few light surface hairlines,there are NO scuffs or deep scratches to any of the vinyl surfaces.
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 5 GAD & Side 2 stampers are: 4 GRG.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-1 & Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 2 H & Side 4 stampers: 1 RG .
The TWO 12” Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in RESPECTABLE Excellent Minus condition, the bags do have some inevitable creasing, one of the bags has a 2” seam split, otherwise two very nice original inner bags.
….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0368521, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing, the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘Stereo’.
The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in beautiful Excellent Plus condition. This is a FIRM, CLEAN, WHITE GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only very mild record indentation, and light indentation of writing, this can only be seen when tilting the sleeve at an angle, the back panel is UNDAMAGED, with only very mild record indentation. The inner gatefold is in undamaged Near Mint condition. The spine edge is perfect, with no flaking to the laminate, the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, and only a very mild corner bruise to the bottom right corner, In my opinion this White Album sleeve is a really beautiful.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle - All four photos are all in Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition, with NO tearing or pinholes.
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in Excellent Plus condition, the poster is superb, with no pin holes or tears, just mild creasing.
Play Quality:
Having played both LPs, all FOUR sides play EXTREMELY WELL throughout all the tracks, there are NO skips, pops or clicks, and very quiet between and during the tracks, a very fresh stereo sound quality.
This is a very nice example of an original and complete 1968 Beatles STEREO White Album, 100% complete with all it’s original inserts that came with it back in1968.
