Up for sale is a very rare find indeed! I've had this for a minute, but it's time it goes into the proper roots/dub reggae completists hands! This is an original 1st pressing of the classic lp by THE CONGOS entitled HEART OF THE CONGOS (BLACK ART 1977). This is an original Jamaican 1st pressing with hand-painted front and back of jacket! This a very well loved, but not abused original copy of this lp! Jacket is in GOOD PLUS condition; top seam is split most of the way, bottom seam has 5 to 6" split in middle, spine is worn/holding together - minor to average seam/spine/corner wear/dings, tears, creasing, some pen writing on back of jacket, nicks, stains and ring-wear front/back of jacket. Holding up decently considering age! Vinyl is GOOD PLUS to VG condition; lots of light scuffs, marks/streaks and scratches (nothing deep) - plays nicely with faint surface noise/crackle (hear 1 audio sample - can't seem to post more, but will try to if possible). Black marker writing on B-side label and general wear to both labels! Again, this is a very very tough find of an essential roots/dub reggae lp!
