THE CRAMPS DERBY AJANTA MARCH 22ND 1980
ORIGINAL SCREENPRINTED 20" BY 14.5" UK GIG POSTER (51CM X 38CM)
Super rare totally vintage Cramps poster from the line up with Bryan Gregory...Unique silk screened artwork...Liberated from the venue ...which was the best punk rock club in the East Midlands in the early 80's ..a falling down Asian movie theatre set in wasteland (scene of the infamous Crass riot) with a balcony and a bar that served alcohol to 14 year olds. The gig was awesome..I was soooo excited this was my first chance to see the band that led my older brother to wake me up the night he saw them in Nottingham and say he had seen the greatest band of all time...this coincided with a review in Sounds of Gravest Hits that I had just read ...we were cramped !!! and went to see them at every opportunity. I am only giving this up as I have two copies..the other in very similar condition is gonna get framed
CONDITION IS VINTAGE....EDGES ARE CREASED PARTICULARLY ON RIGHT OF POSTER AND THERE ARE TWO 3/4 " TEARS WHICH SHOULD BE HIDDEN WHEN FRAMED..THE PAPER IS YELLOWER THAN THE PHOTOS SHOW AND THE DEAD AIRMEN DON'T HELP MATTERS....BUT I CHALLENGE YOU TO FIND ANOTHER ONE....LOOK AT THE PHOTOS AND PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE ON THIS BIT OF PUNK/ROCK N ROLL HISTORY
