THIS AMAZING EPIC POETIC HITORICAL STORY SET TO MUSIC IS LUSH AND FASCINATING.  A TRADITIONAL FORM OF STORY TELLING AND HISTORY FROM REGION'S IN Central Asia NOTABLY CURRENT UZBEK, AZERBAIJAN, TURK, MONGOLIA.  PERFORMED HERE WITH TRUE VIRTUOSITY.  HERE IS SOME INFO ABOUT THIS ANCIENT ART FORM FROM WIKI:     Dastan (?????? dâstân, Persian for "story")[1][2] is an ornate form of oral history from Central Asia.
A dastan is generally centered on one individual who protects his tribe or his people from an outside invader or enemy, although only occasionally can this figure be traced back to a historical person. This main character sets an example of how one should act, and the dastan becomes a teaching tool — for example the Sufi master and Turkic poet Ahmet Yesevi said "Let the scholars hear my wisdom, treating my words like a dastan". Alongside the wisdom, each dastan is rich with cultural history of interest to scholars.
During the Russian invasion and occupation of Central Asia, many new dastans were created to protest the Russian occupation. It is possible that they came into contact and influenced each other. According to Turkish historian Hasan Bülent Paksoy, the Bolsheviks tried to destroy these symbols of culture, e.g. by only publishing them in insufficiently large quantities and in a distorted form "in order to weaken the heroic impact".[3]
A notable dastan is Korkut Ata of the Oghuz Turks — which may have been created as early as the beginning of the 13th century.[4]
HERE IS OME MORE INFO I FOUND ONLINE:   Ker-ogly  (also Keroglu), a folk epic found throughout the Near East and Middle Asia. Composed about the 17th century, the epic may be divided into a western variant (the Armenian, Georgian, Kurdish, Adzhar, and Turkish versions, derived from the Azerbaijan epic Ker-ogly) and an eastern variant (the Turkmen Gerogly, Uzbek and Kazakh Gorogly, and Tadzhik Gurugli, or Gurguli). In all the western versions the hero is a popular avenger and poet whose life’s aim is to punish the tyrant who blinded his father (Ker-ogly means “blind man’s son”). Prose stories about the feats of Ker-ogly alternate with poetic sections, epic and lyrical songs, attributed to the hero himself. The epic seems to be partly historical and partly legendary, preserving traces of the exploits of a historical Ker-ogly, as he appears in documents from the 16th to the 17th century (the writings of the Armenian historian Arakel of Tabriz; archival materials in the National Library in Istanbul).
