VLADIMIR SLASTCHEFF - PROMENADE
Hveruk Vladimir Nikolaevich (Slastcheff Vladimir) (1906 Russia - 1974 France) - singer, tenor, was born in Bessarabia, lived and died in France. Soon after the beginning of the revolution, as a teenager, he and his family emigrated from Russia. He possessed a beautiful tenor and a purely Slavic appearance. A blonde with a snub nose and a beautiful tenor produced an unprecedented impression on the listeners. He took part in the performances staged in the Russian emigre environment of Paris. He sang beautifully old Russian romances and songs. While in exile, in the 50-60s Vladimir Hveryuk-Slashchev released on the French label "ELESDISK", which belonged to a native of Odessa emigrants Leon Spieser, several gramophone records (78 rpm) and two long-playing discs , under the names - "Russian Songs" ("Chansons Russes") and "Yesterday's Russia and Today's Day" ("Russie d'hier et d'aujourd hui"). Singer Vladimir Hveryuk-Slashchev died early in 1974, at the age of 68 years.

USSR 1950s-1970s roentgen film flexible records

were released few copies (often only one!) by somebody's order only! 

Therefore  they are extremely collectible!!

 Records like this were popular underground source for songs of prohibited but extremely popular performers. 

 Foreign jazz, underground criminal ethnic songs,  pop music and later rock'n'roll was prohibited in Soviet Union by communist government.

To release this kind of records was moneymaking but very dangerous business, people got prisoned for manufacturing them!!!
