ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Pressing Features:
6th studio album released April 19, 1971.
The US and UK releases were initially issued in round corner sleeves with embossed text. Front sleeve cover has a die cut round corner window matching the sleeve. The window has clear acetate with the band photo is printed black half-tone. The record is protected in a yellow radius-corner liner which provides background color to the sleeve window image projecting a "hologram"-like image of the band...very cool effect but not practical for cover protection. Later sleeves or cover images simply emulate this effect, with no die-cuts and with normal square corners.
1. This issue has the Elektra 'Columbus Circle' address on sleeve back and labels.
2. This issue does not have the Warner Bros 'W' imprint on the 'butterfly' labels.
3. This issue is a 'Terra Haute' pressing (CTH etched in runouts).
Label: (NM)
Very clean Elektra Dark Butterfly Labels with NO spindle marks or blemishes.
Record Grading: (VG/VG+)
This record is very clean and has NM labels but has some scuffing, hairline marks and surface wear but no scratches. Overall it plays without skips or overpowering background noise and more noticeable during track transitions and quiet passages. Some of this album plays VG+ and overall sounds great!
Sleeve Grading: (VG)
Embossed DOORS die cut cover with clear acetate has NO cut-outs, split seams, edge, corner or spine wear but does have a couple creases along the spine, bottom edge and ring wear. Some minor sticker peel on the front and cover peel on the back. The clear acetate is in NM condition and fully intact to the front cover.
