First a bit about me, the seller. I am NOT a dealer or serious record collector and this is the first time I've used Ebay, hence no track record. But it seems to work fine for other's, so why not for me? I'm quite excited at actually having something of my own up for auction and I assure you I'll do my best to be a great Ebayer now I've started. Now about the item I'm selling. I bought this record when it was first released in 1967. I am it’s one and only owner and don’t wish to be responsible for an increasingly valuable record collection with grandchildren etc running around. If you are a serious collector of vinyl you won’t need me to tell you what an opportunity this is to own a rare piece of rock history. STRANGE DAYS was the second album released by The Doors and this particular copy can fairly be described as in excellent condition. Details: STRANGE DAYS by The Doors- EKS-74014 stereo version. It was also released in mono (not too many people had the equipment to play stereo in 1967). Elektra orange label – 1967. Cover not faded and still has a lovely shine, no tears, no creases, some slight drying of lamination near to spine. In short, its hard to believe this record has survived almost 40 years in such near perfect condition. Little to no wear to spindle hole, see photo. Matrix numbers clearly visible (A1 - B1). Slight surface noise but no clicks or pops and still sounds great. I've just played it for the first time in years and having got used to listening to CD's I can see why so many people are returning to vinyl. The sound is so rich and full. Had I a bit more hair I could have been 18 again as I heard Jim belt out Strange Days. They simply don't make them like this anymore.
