Description

The Doors, Waiting for The Sun - original US Mono brown/tan label Elektra issue, CAT# EKL-4024, 1968.  Stamp on trail-off reads EK L 4024 A 1C

I've heard the pressing number on this one was 500, quite scarce, definitely the rarest Doors mono pressing!!!

Vinyl is VG, pervasive light scratching on both sides, although nothing very deep.  Play grading reveals a still quite enjoyable listen.  Both sides have spots of light surface noise and some light ticks.  Side one has some louder crackle in spots, which are a little distracting, but as a whole it's still a good player, side two actually sounds quite good, even in the quiet passages (just a few spots of light background surface noise).

Cover is VG+, light corner-wear and  some light tearing along bottom edge (front and back, visible in scans).  Looks like the bottom edge got stuck  to some  other LP's  at some point in it's history, but escaped rather unscathed and there are no signs or smells of water damage.

Labels are clean with light spindle-marks.

This  one doen't pop up too often in any condition!

Low opening bid and no reserve!
