A surreal classic: disturbing, funny
dreams narrated aloud
New York: Decca, 1964. DL 4463. Original pressing. Very Good+ with little wear in Very Good sleeve, bumped along top edge with worn tips with split starting at bottom outer tip, a bit rubbed, sticker scars on back cover, sticker "Sample Copy * Not for Resale" on back cover. In original pictorial inner sleeve. Cover art by Edward Gorey. A classic Outsider album that's closer to surrealist short fiction than music; a man's dreams narrated by him as they happen. Issued around the same time as a book version. The audio version is superior, though, because the tenor of Dion's voice with its cattiness, nuances, and intonations adds a lot.
