CONGRATULATIONS
Anyone remember the Fortunes? They seem to have only cut two songs, and this was the second of them, cut in the summer of 1960. A nice group sound, the song “Congratulations.” While it bears the same title as the Turban’s tune from 1955, it’s got different lyrics and is slightly different. I guess if it was a hit, there would have been a note from a legal team.
This original pressing on Argo is flipped with “Look At Me, Look At You.”
