Description
THE FRAYS
" KEEP ME COVERED / WALK ON "
Original 45 on the DECCA RECORDS lable cat# F.12153 Vintage 1965
During 1965, R'n B BEAT was enjoying a rich vein of success in the clubs and dance halls,
and there were a plethora of great records coming out too. Garage bands could blueswail with the best, but few made it OUT of those garages (or Joe Meek's flat) to hit the chart highs.
The FRAYS are another good example. Like The Primitives, Betterdays and their ilk, a strong aggressive punchy recording - loaded with pulsating beats and hard-working mouth harp!
Another with MIKE PATTO on vocals, and he co-wrote 'Keep Me Covered' too!
It's a cool Mod Beat single that This would go down well at Mod revival dance clubs too.
Happily also in AMAZING condition!
The vinyl is in ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING NEAR MINT condition, top FULL shine and playing loud and clear!
The labels are NM super-clean with no writing or stickers
Don't miss this rare copy of a VERY scarce issue!

Apparently this is not Mike Patto related, but another Patto co-wrote the track.
Still - a great one and just as good whoever wrote or sang on it.
Apologies for any misleading info regards which Mr Patto is involved - but I am sure that the winner of this gem will not be disappointed!
