THE GUITAR & BANJO OF REVEREND GARY DAVIS mono lp on Prestige/Folklore FL 14033 US issue 1965 VG+/VG+. (New dealer: Please check my About Me page.)
I would grade this LP VG+. It plays great, but has some minimal noise that was not there when the record was new. It may also have noticeable visual marks, consistent with a well-cared for, but appreciated, record that’s had a moderate amount of play. This LP still plays great, and has lots of shine and is beautiful overall. THIS IS A VINTAGE COPY. This is a green with stylized, I would guess, banjo at the top face. This is a very nice VG+. It has one trk.,3 side 2, that has 4 pops. This is an instrumental lp (harmonica is featured here as well). It's a truly wonderful lp as is typical of all the Davis recordings I've heard. The Tunes:MAPLE LEAF RAG; SLOW DRAG; THE BOY WAS KISSING THE GIRL; CANDY MAN; U.S. MARCH; DEVIL'S DREAM; THE COON HUNT; MISTER JIM; PLEASE BABY; FAST FOX TROT; CAN'T BE SATISFIED.
The Jacket: (I don’t rate any jackets with my initials NM) In black magic marker, my initials back upper left, an x back lower left. A very functional jacket. I would rate the cover VG+ overall with nothing to cite. A very excellent cover. . !
