original 1968 U.S. stereo press of LP on ABC label
The Ill Wind titled "Flashes"
CONDITION:
cover: VG+
shelf wear/soiling ~ wear/fray to edges & corners
ring wear ~ bb lower left
vinyl: VG+
a bit of lite groove wear & a few minor lite surface marks/ lite smudges / minor press stains ~
A side has 3 or 4 lite surface scratches & a lite surface mark across the entire side
B side has a few lite surface scratches , mostly on the first couple of tracks ~
all superficial surface ~ nothing deep that affects play ~
plays excellent, but, with a few odd occasional lite clicks & some
occasional lite surface noise / lite crackle here & there

Originally known as The Prophets, with a singer called Judy Bradbury, this band were originally from
Wellsley, Massachusettes but based themselves in Boston. Clearly, a hippie as opposed to a punk
band, their album is a fine one, with their sound moulded by Conny Devanney's crystal clear vocals. On
tracks like Dark World, her voice is beautiful, while on others, notably the widely recorded High Flying
Bird, and Hung Up Chick and Walkin' And Singin', it blends in beautifully with that of her male
counterpart, Richard Griggs. Also of note is the unusual People Of The Night and the sleepy Full Cycle.
This album is strongly recommended if you ever come across it. The band split up in December 1968,
and Carey Mann went on to play with Dirty John's Hot Dog Stand
