EXOTIC WITH A GORGEOUS CHEESECAKE COVER, this 1956 recording by the Melachrino Orchestra consists of 12 songs all named after ladies ("Sweet Sue," "Laura," "Marie," etc.).  This is a large dog RCA Victor record with 1S/1S matrices and "New Orthophonic High Fidelity" on the label.  The disc is in really fantastic shape for being 60+ years old but the jacket has seen better days and there are splits on top and bottom edges and slight paper loss on the front cover which does not affect the picture-the back cover has ads for other Victor records and notes by jazz critic George T. Simon (there is also a price tag from a store called Neal Price's still affixed to the back cover).

My pricing policy has changed, primarily because of the labor intensive nature of selling records. I am very choosy about the records I sell here, and I even try to be even more critical than a lot of ebay record dealers.  Some reasons for the change are: If a record is not shiny without visible scratches, I use the SpinClean system which is safe and effective and leave your records as clean as possible. I even clean and repair outer sleeves (and sometimes inner sleeves as well!) should they have some reparable damage (e.g., an open seam, surface grime, and the like) and do everything I can to take out any musty smells. I inspect and play-grade every record I sell, with no noise filter so I hear EVERYTHING to make sure my grading is totally honest, except for still-sealed records. (See my grading scale, below).  Once this has been done to a record, it is put away-YOU will be the next one to play it. I use heavy-duty cardboard and bubble wrap in my mailers, not only to save you money, but to protect your investment as it wings its way to you. I ship your purchases usually within 24 hours of receiving your payment. I offer a no-quibble money-back guarantee should you feel I have exaggerated your record’s condition. Just send it back to me in the shape in which you found it, and I’ll refund your purchase price, including your initial shipping cost, unless the shipping was free, which it usually is if the order was at least $10. If you prefer to keep the record, I will issue you a partial refund (or credit for a future purchase).  I pride myself on being tough on grading records and usually grade lower than what some people would determine (I have had a number of customers say that a rating I gave to something they purchased seemed lower than they would have done, which I take as a compliment.).
Record Grading  SS (Still sealed)-unopened and un-played; condition unknown. M (Mint)-extraordinarily clean, quiet, and virtually unmarked, except perhaps for a very light spindle track on the label; may not have been played. NM (Near Mint)-clean and quiet, regardless of scuffs, hairline scratches or apparent defects. EX (Excellent)-less quiet than NM, with a bit more background noise, regardless of its source. VG+ (Very good plus)-noisier than EX; will say why. VG (Very good)-noisier than VG+; will say why. G (Good)-a record that has been enjoyed A LOT. Surface marks will be apparent and scratches are possible. Luster may be lost. Surface noise may dominate playback. I ONLY SELL THESE IF THE RECORD IS EXTREMELY RARE-IF THE TITLE IS FAIRLY COMMON I WILL ONLY SELL VG/ G CONDITION.  WE DO NOT SELL RECORDS IN FAIR OR BELOW CONDITION.
Cover Grading (any significant blemish not mentioned in the descriptions below will be included above) SS (Still Sealed) M (Mint)-a cover that looks like it has not been handled. Sharp corners and no visible blemishes. NM (Near Mint)-a cover with only minor shelf wear. A record that has clearly been stored properly  EX (Excellent)-a cover that does have minor blemishes- wear to corners, light ring wear, etc. An average cover condition for the record's age. VG+ (Very Good+)-a cover that shows distinct wear from handling. There may be ring wear, minor discoloring, edge, and spine wear and less than 1.5 inch seam split(s). VG (Very Good)-a cover that has some damage, but is still intact. Ring wear may be heavy; there may be seam splits and stains. G (Good)-a cover that holds the record. Structural damage may be apparent. The picture should show obvious blemishes.
