ON OFFER A RARE ORIGINAL UK press from 1972 of the double LP Electric Ladyland LP by The Jimi Hendrix Experience with the ORIGINAL 613008/09 SINGLE LINE LABEL ON TRACK RECORDS WITH THE TWO RECORD SET ON THE LABELS AUTOCOUPLED WITH SIDE A/D AND B/C ON EACH VINYL. 

IN ADDITION THIS IS A RARE COPY WITH THE INFAMOUS NUDE COVER THAT WAS CENSORED BY THE SHOP AND TURNED AROUND THE COVER IN ORDER TO SHOW IT IN THE SHOP BY TURNING AROUND THE INSIDE COVER TO BECOME THE OUTSIDE COVER WHICH MEANS THAT THE SPINE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

THE LPS WITH THE SINGLE LANE NUMBERS ON THE TRACK TWO RECORD SET LABEL ARE INCREASINGLY HARD TO FIND AS THESE WERE PRESSED IN SMALL NUMBERS AND QUICKLY REPLACED BY THE RED POLYDOR LABELS.

The vinyl has been well played and is graded VISUALLY in excellent condition for side A,  very good plus condition for sides B and C and very good minus for side D. I have played the record in my humble equipment and side A plays excellent, sides B and C play with some background noise audible in the quiter parts and side D with some pops. The record will benefit from a professional clean. Please see below a description of grades and note that this vinyl is over 52 years old that has been played a lot and will not transform into anything different to the condition stated.

The TRACK labels with the single line number are in  excellent condition. 

The NUDE cover was CENSORED by some shop owners that in order to display the LP turned around the sleeve inside out as is the case with this one. This meant that the naked ladies side is in excellent minus condition whilst the other side is in very good minus condition with a small tear in the laminate on the right corner.

The spine (naked ladies) is complete in excellent plus condition.

  Visually-graded vinyl: A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly. A visual grading will not identify noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and sixty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect.

Play-grading MONO records: Mono records and stereo records have different grooves. A stereo record produces a stereo sound via both lateral and vertical groove modulation whereas a mono record is not intended to produce any sound from vertical modulation. Playing a mono record with a stereo cartridge will create distortion because it is trying to pick-up the vertical (stereo) part of the signal, whereas this is not intended to be heard on a mono record and so is just noise.  Using a pre-amp with a mono switch will eliminate the noise caused by vertical modulation leaving just the lateral groove signal which is how the record was intended to be heard. If you do not have a mono switch on your amp or pre-amp you will be reproducing the noise from the vertical part of the signal and so the record will not sound as good. This is not any fault of the record, it is inherent to playing any mono record through a system that it was not designed for.   Guide to grades used 

Mint                      
Cover - Looks new - no marks, wear or damage
Disc - Looks unplayed - no marks visible
 
Near Mint              
Cover - Looks virtually new with signs of handling- Minor wear creases but no marks or damage. Light sleeves may show slight discoloration due to age.
Disc - The record has had little play and has minor scuffs &/or hairline scratches mostly caused by moving record in & out of paper sleeve
 
Excellent                
Cover - Signs of wear on edges/spine, corners or ring wear. No damage caused by sticker removal/residue. 
Disc- The record has been played and has light marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.
 
Very good              
Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage. 
Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticeable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs. 
 
Good                      
Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.
Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches. Usually used as collection filler   I am not a dealer but an amateur collector selling duplicated items or records that I no longer want to keep (mostly due to space). Unless indicated in the listing the records have been only visually inspected.
