     Jack Eely (Ely) and the Kingsmen had a stormy relationship.  Right after the original Louie Louie was released (Jack was the vocalist) and before it became a national hit,  he was bounced from the band.  A couple years later, he signed with Bang records and recorded this new version of Louie and the original band didn't appreciate it, so they re-released the original with this new title.
