THE KINKS - VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY STEREO - A3/B4 MATRIX Year: 1968 Cat: NSPL 18233
- On offer here is a great sounding copy of this sought after Kinks classic album!
- The laminated gatefold sleeve with single outer is very prone to wear and this one has wear concentrated on the vulnerable spine and edges. The front single cover is mostly flat with sellotape to bottom corner and top right edge, now browning but was originally applied for protection. The rear of the sleeve is very clean with the stereo NSPL sticker applied to top right to cover the mono print. The spine is flattened with a couple tears to the outer and split at the top and bottom. All the text is still legible. Inside the gatefold is clean apart from blue sticker with 1968 and a faded name at top left in blue. Graded VG-
- The original "plastic bags can be dangerous" inner has a split down one side and corner creases.
- The vinyl still has a great gloss and only a few light marks are visible, even under strong light!. The Labels are bright and clear with some spindle trails and a name in faded blue print on Side 2, not obscuring the text. Visually graded EX. Having played very carefully, the sound quality probably exceeds the visual grading with no distracting noise at all! Superb playable example - Playgraded at least EX.

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
+ or - indicates a grading in between categories
