Description

INCREDIBLY RARE AUTOGRAPHED COPY of The Lively Ones' debut LP: "Surf Rider!", including the SURF CLASSICS: "Surf Beat", "Let's Go Trippin'", "Misirlou", "Guitar Man", "Catepillar Crawl", "Walkin' The Board", "Paradise Cove", "Goofy Foot", "Surf Rider", "Happy Gremmie", "Hotdoggen", and "Surfer's Lament". This is the ORIGINAL 1963 Mono copy of Del-Fi Records, and the vinyl is in super clean, shiny, colorful condition, with a few light signs of play, short light lines but NO deep scratches and NO skips. The cover itself shows signs of its 56 years of life, roughish corners and edges, some cover and ring wear, a small rough spot with a short tear at the opening, and a couple of water marks, PROBABLY because it was autographed at the beach! Imagine a beach party in 1963, the early days of The Beach Boys, Woody's with boards on top, "Gidget", Fabian and Annette Funicello, the sounds and smells of the ocean, cool sand under foot, and The Lively Ones playing LIVE! I lost a friend recently, and before he passed, he passed on several autographed LPs that were his Moms. This is one (miss you Guy). He would love this to go to someone special (and he'd understand why we're letting it go). The autographs are still pretty crisp and very legible. No, I'm sorry, I don't have a COA, I'm not sure they could even find autographs of this bands members, but I know its authentic, it was a prized treasure, and it's now being sold for less than it would if I spend the couple hundred dollars to verify it.

UPDATE: I got a short message from bassist Ron Griffith that verified the signatures as authentic! I was VERY surprised and honored that he messaged me, Thank You sir for the music! Your bands music is eternal!

This is likely a ONE OF A KIND, and autographed by band members Jim Masoner (lead guitar), Eddie Chiaverini (rhythm guitar), Ron Griffith (bass guitar), and Tim Fitzpatrick ("who pounds some of the choicest drums you've ever heard'), as well as Ted Bevan (?), signing as the bands "Mgr". The only one missing is Joel Willenbring, the sax player on this LP. This is one of the earliest surf bands, their cover of "Surf Rider" playing in the end credits of Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction". You will likely NEVER see an opportunity to by an autographed copy of this, so get it while you can. Please see all photos before bidding or buying, and understand their is a NO RETURN policy on this because of it's rarity. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us, and check out our feedback to see that you can buy with confidence. We've re-opened our store after almost two years of recovering from 5 surgeries, and moving to Oregon, where all profits from sales here will go to                           opening up a Used / New record store, so thanks to all purchasers for helping bring our baby to life, its a dream come true. Because of my now disabilities, I'm not able to post items often, but we'll be back up to our usual 4-500 listings eventually, lol. We rolled with a 100% feedback score when we had our store (TuesdayAfternoonVinyl) open, and we plan to keep our customers satisfied. WE MAIL UNTO OTHERS AS WE WOULD HAVE THEM MAIL UNTO US lol. We'll mail Media Mail because its cheap, which allows us to offer FREE SHIPPING in the US with all vinyl, and we mail carefully, with official LP mailers the record outside the cover. We clean all vinyl with an enzyme spray then finish with a SpinClean Machine. With SEALED VINYL, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed. If you are concerned about the condition, warped or broken or whatever, we can open it for you before mailing it, and if anything is wrong, we'll notify you and you can decide how to proceed. In the case of a warp etc, we will refund you completely, but only if we open it and see the issue before it mails. This is for our financial protection as well as yours. If you have any questions, please let us know. To all our regulars, its glad to back and we look forward to hearing from you.
