Description
Up for bid is a RARE 7" 45rpm single with unusual custom picture sleeve by Boston based Punk Art Rock band " THE RENTALS" , issued on the private label " Rent Records" in 1979. Band featured the husband wife team of Jeff & Jane Hudson. Infamous Boston band well known at the time with regulars at The Rat club, Cantones etc. Side A contains the track "Gertrude Stein" Side B contains " Low Rent" . Produced by Oedipus, a well known local DJ from MIT radio and WBCN Boston. Vinyl is in EX NM condition, likely played only once or twice on a high end turntable. Very clean! Cover is unusual in that it is a generic white sleeve with stamped imprints of Gertrude Stein and the band name, handmade by the band themselves. Condition is also NM, very clean with only a very light record creasing at top edge, no other tears, creases or marks. Survived very well considering its age. (Records are from my own personal collection, and have been well taken care of and properly stored over the years.) ********** Records will be packed and shipped in professional heavy duty corrogated cardboard record mailers that I purchase to assure safe delivery during shipping.
