    The back of this Double LP says:

   In February, 1982 Ralph Records contacted Mr. Penn Jillette, a nationally known entertainer and announcer, to see if he was interested in involvement in Ralph’s 10th Anniversary Radio Special. The format of the special, as specified in Mr. Jillette’s contract, was unusual, but the salary was sufficient, so Mr. Jillette agreed.

   At 8:00 AM on Monday, March 1, Mr. Jillette entered  room 312 of the Bentley Motor Inn at 465 Grove Street (directly across the street from the Ralph Headquarters) in San Francisco. The door was locked behind him.

   Mr. Jillette was to spend the next six days alone in this room. Each day he received a new package of records from Ralph. His job was to listen to and comment on these recordings.

   The Ralph Records 10th Anniversary Radio Special was compiled from more than 50 hours of tape recorded while Mr. Jillette was alone in his motel room.

   Produced by Ralph Records and The Cryptic Corporation in March 1982.

The Residents Radio Special is a 1-hour promotional show which was originally sent out only to radio stations, in order to increase public interest in The Residents, and thus obtain more air play for the group. The tapes features interview segments with Jay Clem, a former Cryptic Corporation executive, and covers the Residents' career up until 1977, emphasizing their more obscure musical material.

Impromptu background music is performed by The Residents during 10 minutes of dialogue scattered throughout the program.

This special features quite a number of rarities: both sides of the Beatles Play The Residents single; both sides of Satisfaction (which had not yet been re-released); Whoopy Snorp (from Blorp Esette); a medley of songs from the original Santa Dog EP; 3 of the 4 songs from Babyfingers; and even two unreleased songs.



BUY OR DIE, this is a once in a lifetime chance to get your hands on this scarce treasure. I still can't believe I have it. But I do.

   I bought this from a record show in NYC.

Condition: Used, might have scratches. I barley played it. The cover has some ware, but in OK Condition. I took the photos of this. I might post better ones, the flash went off on both shots.

Canada is $6.00, rest of world $10.00, $2.00 for each additional item, I ship First Class International which takes about 10 to 14 days to most countries, insured items are shipped Global Priority and take between 3 to 6 days to most countries. Contact me if your sending money orders, international buyers PayPal only. Insured International orders add an extra $10.00 to package cost, I cannot be responsible for orders lost or damaged that are not insured, I have never had a package lost or damaged yet, 2 were about a month in delivery, and 1 came back to me with the wrong address, so it's really not that risky a deal, if you ask me.
