You can add additional 45s to an order at little or no extra shipping cost.

This is part of a batch of auctions running from 7/31/06 to 8/07/06, to consist of all RARE Soul and RARE local Garage and Psych 45s (and a few LPs). Over the next week I'll also be placing similar items in my eBay STORE listings at fixed prices - please watch for 'em. FYI, I am going to be away for one weeks' time soon. Any payments, problems, questions, not arriving before 8/12/06 can't be dealt with until I return on 8/20/06. Thanks!

Original USA pressing 45rpm record. Not a reissue, second pressing or counterfeit. On Western New York label AUDITION Records, #6110. Same legendary label as THE HEARD (Stop It Baby), THE HUMANS (Warning)...... and THE VAQUEROS (Echo), which I currently have listed right now.

This is the legendary ROGUES from the suburbs of Buffalo NY. A-side is "The Train Kept A Rollin'", probably the best (certainly the wildest) cover of this ever. Absolute classic garage punk, lots of screaming, yelps, fuzz, feedback, insane raveup at the end. This is like a cross between the Yardbirds version of "Train" and the MC5's A-Square single. It's been comped on Pebbles, Acid Dreams, Trash Box, and Teenage Shutdown. And bootlegged on a crazy one-sided Moxie 45.

The B-side, "You Better Look Now" is perfect P.F. Sloan-type folk/rock along the lines of the early Turtles, Grassroots... maybe even Beau Brummels. It can be heard on Teenage Shutdown, Vol. 5 and The Cicadelic 60's, Vol. 5. And that is why some people rate this two-sider so highly, it gives stellar examples of two extremes in 1966 garage sounds. (Note: I will have both of the Rogues' Thunderbird label 45s listed shortly as well. 'Secondary Man', in particular, is great!).

VINYL: visually VG due to the loss of surface gloss. No large scratches, no feelable ones whatsoever; but lots of styrene surface marks. Has seen quite a bit of play but actually still sounds GREAT. Playgrades VG+ due to a little surface noise on the intros, but the rest of the songs sound much better. LABELS: Strong VG+, due to light ringwear and a name written on "Train" side. This is one tough label to find better, the gold just didn't hold up to handling. All things considered I think most people would say VG++.   <<< >>>   All records visually graded, under very revealing spotlights. I am a strict, conservative grader (check my feedback). NM is usually my highest grade but I rarely use it for 45s unless they're visually perfect (and virtually unplayed). NM- is what I mostly use for real clean 45s which the average person would call "like new". For the lower grades, if they look questionable, I'll playtest them and mention it. Labels have no writing, stickers, stamps, drillholes etc. unless noted in the description. No 'hidden' defects!

For fans of The Darelyks, Rogues, Tweeds, Druids, Invictas, Blades Of Grass, Young Tyrants, The Charles, Raven, The Road, Stan And The Ravens, The Tigermen, Wilmer & The Dukes, The Cavemen, Buffalo/ WNY bands, teen, garage, punk, psych, Mod, and frat rockers. I'm always digging up obscure local records and I'm listing new ones often , so please add me to your Favorite Sellers list. I have many similar items (both local and otherwise) in my Classic Rock and Psych, Soul,   Early R&R/ Rockabilly, and other sections. You can find them all by using the links in my eBay store. Thanks!
