WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original PROMOTIONAL MONO London “ffrr” Records very first press released in Chile in 1970 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc., USA, catalog number LLC-38537, with machine etched matrix numbers XARL-9363.P-1A at 6 o’clock, 2 at 12 o’clock and 2D at 9 o’clock in Side A, and XARL-9364.P-1A at 7 o’clock, 2 at 1 o’clock and 4D at 9 o’clock in Side B, with green/black LONDON “ffrr” LABELS!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“LET IT BLEED” was originally released in 1969 but we had to wait some months to see this album released here in Chile in 1970 and like in most of the cases of that period, we got this album with an UNIQUE COVER!!! The cover is the typical Chilean cover made of 2 single sheets of thick paper or thin cardboard for front and back cover, attached to a thin cardboard and kept all together for an outer plastic bag which’s part of the cover, but in this copy it’s missed. Front cover keeps the original US artwork with a bit darker color, album title translated to Spanish with black lettering and between brackets below the original red album title “Let It Bleed” and London Records logo at top right corner. Back cover is different, it curiously keeps the same artwork of front cover, with album title also translated to Spanish, London Records logo and catalog number at top right corner, information about Chilean company which released this album and license at bottom right corner, with a box “Disco Es Cultura” (Record Is Culture), extra information about this Chilean press at bottom left corner in very small lettering, with non-numbered/ordered tracklist written in English, translated to Spanish, without additional information. In labels the album title is written in Spanish only and the tracklist is written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and producer. As you can see in both labels it’s stamped the promotional add “MUESTRA SIN VALOR COMERCIAL” (SAMPLE WITHOUT COMMERCIAL VALUE), but the most interesting facts to notice in this MEGARARE MONO PRESS it’s the credit for the song “Love In Vain”, Payne (Woody Payne), just like in early US and UK, and the misprint error in back cover, “GIMMIE SHELTER”, also original of the first US and UK issues, but in Chile they also misspelled the song title in the label, “GIMMIE SHELTER”. Matrix number in Side A also hides an error, they originally etched “XARL-8363” and then etched a “9” over the “8”!!! So, yes Sirs, this is really one of those finds you don’t see so often, one of the original copies of this famous album released in Chile in 1970 with an UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE BACK COVER PICTURE SLEEVE and UNIQUE PRINT ERROR and MATRIX ERROR!!! An authentic and original issue of “Let It Bleed” in MONO released in Chile, one of the rarest issues worldwide!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX or EX+ condition both front and back sheets of paper, complete, with some creases and general wear in edges, more evident in corners, no rips, no writings, no blemishes at all, but some past owner had the idea to tape the top and bottom edges and then glue the sheets of paper over the cardboards and even though it’s not correctly aligned it looks great. The record is thick and it’s in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with loads of scuffs, hairlines and scratches caused because the record wasn’t kept in an inner sleeve, but of course they don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in great EX+ or NM- condition, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear, the promotional stamp and the number “8” written in both sides. The sound is in strong EX- or EX condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), occasional crackles and some light clicks and pops here and there, and in VG or VG+ condition the Side B, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise, constant crackles and some clicks and pops, more evident in the song “You Got The Silver” and at the end of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure this record isn’t for Minty minds or audiophiles, but this record is A MUST TO HAVE for all The Rolling Stones collectors, no matter the condition, not many times seen and this time you have the chance to own this MEGARARE MONO PRESS of “Let It Bleed” with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE BACK COVER PICTURE SLEEVE and UNIQUE ERRORS!!! Maybe this record could need a professional vacuum cleaning. AMAZING FIND FROM CHILE AGAIN!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
