Firstly this double lp has thick quality vinyl and miles thicker than any later pressing!!!!  Secondly the matrixes are amoung the 'earliest possible' ending in a1/b1/c2/d1 (all later pressings have much higher numbers!)!!!!  Thirdly this lp comes with the complete set of 12 'joined' postcards (later pressings dont have these) which are in awesome condition!!!!   Fourthly the 'picture' inner sleeves are made with thick quality card (later pressings are much thinner)!!!!  This double lp also has 2 white 'inner' inner sleeves in the 'earliest' style - with 'die-cut' centres and 'patents' text (later pressings dont have these)!!!!  And, lastly this double lp has the 'earliest possible' style of 'box shaped' gatefold cover (later pressings have much thinner covers)!!!!  It is also important to stress that all parts of this lp are uk 1st pressed and completely original to the very first day of pressing (way before the 'day of release') back in 1972!!!!  This lp is a 100% geniune 1972 'earliest' uk 1st pressing with a uk 1st press cover, uk 1st press 'picture' inners, uk 1st press 'white' inner inners, 1st press 'full set' of postcards, and uk 1st pressed set of records !

Using 'The Rare Record Collector' guidelines 

 

Sleeve

 

Excellent -

There is some slight fraying in some places on the right hand spine and in some of the corners of this cover.    However this is hardly noticeable.   The thick structure of this gatefold sleeve is still very strong.    The inner gatefold (Very Good +) mosaic of photos still looks terrific.     On the back (Excellent -) the photos of Jagger and co still look great.    As you can see by the photos this album comes with original green and red photographed/track listed inner sleeves (Excellent +).   Additionally this album comes with a pack of twelve Rolling Stones postcards (Near Mint).

As you can see from the photos, aside from one tiny fray mark near to the hole on the D label, all sides of this Rolling Stones records label look terrific.

There is an extremely slight undulation in the record number 2 vinyl.   Also There are occasional surface marks on both sides of both records.  However these issues are hardly noticeable and there are no significant abrasions on either of the two records.

COLLECTABLE VINYL RECORDS
The Barraclough Brothers

 

Dear collector, we are the Barraclough Brothers of ‘Collectable Vinyl Records’. Sam and I have established a reputation as a trusted supplier of rare vinyl, based upon honest and thorough descriptions of our items.  Together we have undertaken the task of selling our father’s extensive record collection, which he has amassed during his time as a dj and music critic.  It’s a considerable and unique vinyl collection of albums and singles with many rare items included.  In addition to the known rare records there are many demo and promotional items, which were not available for general purchase making them highly collectable.  The chronology of the collection stretches from the early 1960s, to the early 1980s.   Within this period, there is a concentration of records released between 1965 – 1969 – a seminal era for music that is reflected by it’s collectability.  Although the spectrum of musical genre is wide, a considerable proportion of the collection is Motown, Northern Soul, Psych & Freakbeat records.  Fresh rare records usually start on a Thursday or Friday, ending 10 days later on Sunday or Monday evenings.    If you have any questions concerning this item or wish to enquire about this record collection, please contact us by eBay or email : collectablevinylrecords@gmail.com   we aim to reply within 24 hours where possible.

 

GRADING POLICY

 

We have a databased our collection, using the ‘rare records price guides’ grading scale (if you are unaware of this grading system please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will reply as soon as possible with a explanation of how this grading system works.   As you can see in the description there is a grading given to vinyl and audio quality.  This is necessary because a record may seem ‘poor’ quality when viewed, but when played, the audio quality is often ‘excellent’.  Conversely the vinyl quality may seem excellent but when played the audio quality can be quite poor.

 

FULL REFUND POLICY

 

We will offer a full refund (including p & p) if you find that any of the gradings (outer sleeve, label, vinyl or audio quality) given in the listing do no match the record’s description (according to the rare record collector grading system).  A full refund (including p & p) policy prohibits scammers, but more importantly ensures our true collectors complete piece of mind. As you see by our feedback, we have attained a strong reputation based on the accuracy of our descriptions, communication with clients and a quick and professional postage service.   So, in the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt that you are returning the record and we will deposit your refund via Paypal.

As a consequence of the new e Bay regulations on p + p in September 2009, we changed our tariff structure. And although they have since relinquished these regulations, we will continue to offer this service.  As you can see in the table above, we have made the “domestic 1st class service (much quicker & more reliable than 2nd)” free. We have also significantly reduced our European & Non EU tariffs.

 

CUSTOMS PRACTICE
 For non – E.U collectors

We have become aware that many of our non EU customers have difficulties receiving records without (particularly with the more valuable records) paying huge customs charges. As always Joe and I will strive to make things easier (and cheaper) for our collectors. To achieve this we will always send the record(s) as a “gift” and state the value to be under £5, ensuring that you receive the records without paying unnecessary custom charges or problems in your country.

 

SHIPPING & HANDLING POLICY

 

For domestic delivery we offer a choice of royal mail 1st class, 1 st class, recorded signed for or special next day delivery.  For international customers airmail is our preferred shipment option.  However, any customer can request services such as surface mail or airsure.   Our regular international buyers may notice we have recently substantially reduced our postage tariffs for both ‘European’ and ‘rest of the world’ delivery.  PLEASE NOTE : The postal options – “special delivery”  (next day) and airsure provide extra compensation (up to £500) and security – this is strongly advisable for many of the rare and valuable records that we sell.   I cannot accept liability for items that may be lost or damaged by royal mail so please bear this in mind when selecting your postage option.   However, in all circumstances I will obtain proof of postage which insures the package up to the value of £39. (see the Royal Mail website for details)  you will be given these postage options when you pay for your item(s). Those who wish to purchase more than one record (up to a batch of three [sent together], may receive postage reductions upon request).  These are shown in the table below :
