The Rolling Stones : Stone Age 1D/2D 1st Press

I purchased a collection recently among which were a collection of stunning Stones' records.  I have listed a number of them already and have graded each track individually.  However, such is their quality there is no real need to do this but rest assured I will listen to every track in full so as to provide a 'correct' grading and will state any imperfections even if minor.

This first pressing of Stone Age was released in '75 not that the Stones' wanted it to be!  It is another time-warp classic from the collection that I am selling.

Play grading

S1 plays with spectacular quality and the opening track 'Look What You've Done' more than demonstrates this.  'As new' sums it up I guess!  The sonic quality here is breathtaking with no interference whatsoever, not even a dust tick.  I am pleased to say the other tracks on this side are equally as good with a clarity and definition of sound that is stunning in every way and the only 'background' is one light tick at the end of 'As Tears Go By'.  There is also complete silence in the dead wax between every track giving you a good idea of the clarity on offer here.  S2 also plays with exceptional clarity and warmth from the first track 'My Girl' right through to 'Around And Around' with no sign of any interference.  This is another FINAL UPGRADE album in that there would be no need to buy another as you could not find audio better than this!

Visual grading

This is another vinyl that looks 'brand new' I can pay it no higher compliment.  It is in pristine condition with no marks or scratches and it has a lovely jet -black glossy sheen.  There are no sleeve removal hairlines to be seen either.  There is only very spindle wear also.

The Cover & Inner

The laminated cover is immaculate with no shelf wear at all.  It looks as if it has just been taken out of the record shop back in '71!  The original stereo inner has no side splits, just a little creasing and a couple of tiny 'nicks' on the top edge.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers

This record has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine

I grade according to "Record Collector" guidelines.
