This auction is for an original vinyl 45rpm Picture Disc record called ‘God Save The Queen’ by The Sex Pistols. It also comes with a spare paper label for the successful bidder.

Notes – a very rare punk 45 Picture Disc from The Sex Pistols on A&M Records. The Sex Pistols are the stuff of legends and here we have an extremely rare numbered picture disc from the 'God Save The Queen' 45. Hand numbered 007 of only 250 picture discs issued, so one of the first ten!! A classic 45 of the genre and a must for any punk collection. It's a catchy little number too. Deliberately kept off the number one slot by the BBC at the time, but history has proved what an incredibly important band / track this was
Issued on A&M Records.
The Catalogue number is AMS 7284.
Issued in - not sure on this as it is a recent issue of the track.
CONDITION –
The vinyl is in Mint condition.
The sleeve is in Mint condition (plastic sleeve).
(Record Collector gradings).
The all important labels are in superb condition. There is no writing or other blemishes, the text is striking and clearly legible with NO fading, they are as pristine as the day they left the factory. The spindle is clean with very little evidence of wear and show few signs of visible playing.
Many copies of this 45 when released were taken to parties and played endlessly, often scratched until they were unplayable. This copy however has been played only lightly and looked after.
The vinyl is in great condition and free from any significant marks or blemishes.
The most outstanding aspect of this copy is the clean nature of how the record plays with no surface noise or static pops between tracks. This 45 single has clearly been loved and treasured by a keen collector. The quality of the sound makes the playing of the disc a pleasure with no allowances having to be made for its almost 34 year vintage, which is astounding in itself.
This single is becoming increasingly rare, especially in this condition - and such a very low numbered edition (007/250).
