Extremly early Butterfly UK pressing, 2410009 A1, 2410009 B1, original album sleeve printed and made by E J Day Group London and Bedford.
Record
VG+ Very Good Plus copy. There are some light hairlines and minor surface marks noticed in places, with one slightly feelable mark at the beginning of track 4 side 1 (see photos), nothing was noticed heavily during play back through this area perhaps a couple of soft ticks but nothing severe. There are some other light marks faint hairlines in palces with inner sleeve removal marsk etc but nothing heavy or overly distracting that effects playback.
I have listened to the album from beginning to end and there were no jumps or skips. There is some light pops and occasional ticks with some low level surface noise in places, quiet passages run ins and out. Due to the nature of the audio being quite busy throughout, with limited quiet passages it was hard to notice any surface noise at times. The record has lost some of its shine with age but still presents in sold VG+ condition. The audio matches the visual grade if not a touch better.
Sleeve
VG A sleeve that is often worn this being quite a typical example. The front and back is clean and well presented, there is some light ring wear and surface wear with age with a small scuff effecting the front. There is some ring wear and minor handling creasing in places but nothing overly heavy. The edges like most copies have some heavy rubbing but no splitting, the the top and bottom edges are rubbed with the surafce being almost entirely removed top edge marginally better, the pine side alomst entrely rubbed with no text visible (if it did have text in the first place every copy I have had has had the same wear), there is some fragility in this area but as mentioned before no splitting through. A solid high VG, let down by the edge wear otherwise would be approaching EX as a grading.
