Description
I am selling this on behalf of my mate who told me that he thinks that he purchased this shortly after it was released at a Who gig in Eltham. His friend got his copy signed by the whole band but he was obsessed with keeping his records clean and immaculate and decided he didn't want them defacing the cover. He has indeed kept this in absolute pristine condition for 50 years, but I fear he may have made the wrong decision and I'm afraid he has no idea where his friend is now let alone the signed copy of this LP (it was the first question I asked!). I am starting the bid at the price that he is looking for, which is a considerable sum but still less than the mint book price and this is a top copy:

The VINYL:
Labels :
Vibrant black and silver labels! Both sides are OUTSTANDING with NO real signs of age, NO graffiti, and NO writing OR tears whatsoever! Slight spindle marks and very faint lines in the centre.
Record : Visual -
Only two of the faintest hairlines can be seen under light, otherwise this is gleaming and so glossy it looks like a black mirror
Record : Audio –
This looks like brand new, so I only played the first two tracks on each side. They sound absolutely amazing. As with all mono first pressings from the 1960's, the sound is loud and clear. There is absolutely NO BACKGROUND NOISE whatsoever, not even between tracks. A museum copy, just lovely.
THE SLEEVE:
Original 1965 glossy full colour sleeve with beautiful and shiny laminated front. In nice condition apart from slight creases and some grubby marks on the back of the white sleeve but overall lovely considering its age.
INNER SLEEVE:
Original white inner sleeve has a few light stains and slight split to one side, but it is 50 years old after all.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: The record shall be sent to the lucky winner very well packaged and correctly stored outside of the sleeve. I ONLY SEND ITEMS REGISTERED! No exceptions! Collection for cash is welcomed. Shipping to UK is £5.30 first class signed for, to the EU is £14 tracked and to the rest of the world is £19 tracked. If you are not happy with the postage costs then please do NOT bid! I only use LP boxes that fit 1 or 2 records, so each item won will be sent individually unless you are willing to pay for the extra packaging. Please bear this in mind before bidding on more than one item. The postage costs may seem high but I actually make a loss. Royal Mail has recently increased their prices and I am forced to send registered due to Ebay’s policy of always refunding the buyer if the item should go ‘missing’. Unfortunately, Ebay now take 10% of all postage costs in the final fee and Paypal take a further 5%. Tracked mail to the EU costs £13 and worldwide costs £17. So, the postage cost plus 15% is £13 + £1.95 = £14.95 and £17 + £2.55 = £19.55. This means I am in fact under charging and not passing on the cost for packaging or my time and I am often waiting for over 40 minutes in a busy Post Office. Therefore, I will not lower the postage price, please do not ask. Any other questions please enquire.
