Description

Who, the The Who Sings My Generation LP Mono 1st U.S. pressing on Decca, does not have "A Division Of MCA" under the DECCA labels that indicates a 1st pressing from 1966. Fantastic condition for this rare LP.
Vinyl VG+, some light hairlines scratches and paper scuffs, plays VG+
Cover in VG+ close to VG++ if not for an older price sticker on the front cover. Solid seams and spine, slight ring wear on back, stamped name in several places on front and back (see photos), old homemade sticker on back with 6/29/66 date stamped.

For the above reasons this is a true example of first US pressing with the standard US Decca label.

Mono (and stereo) copies with "A Division of MCA" printed below the rainbow strip were pressed later (1967-68).

Pressings from Decca Gloversville plant can be identified by a ? (typically LPs) at the end of the B side label matrix and a stick "1" stamped/etched into the runout.

Original green Decca "arrow" inner sleeves.
